Hi my name is Janice
I just wanted to tell you a bit about myself and my jewellery making.
I have always had an artistic streak in me... starting to draw, and paint with water colours when I was
12 years of age, then moving onto designing cards for weddings, birthdays and special occasions.
After my children were born I did some tutoring sessions in craft and design for greetings cards and
jewellery making at my local craft shop. It was a couple of years later, whilst a consultant in a major cosmetics
and jewellery company that I became interested in the idea of making my own jewellery.
Picking up a pair of pliers and teaching myself how
to apply them was just so natural for me, there
was no stopping me and, here I am today still doing
what I love best!
Pendant Moon was launched in May 2007, making jewellery with sterling silver and semi precious stones.
I love gemstones in the way some women love chocolate! I keep them, like sweets, in jars and
enjoy handling the different textures, polished surfaces and colours. After a stressful day this can be very
calming and soothing. You can see some of the pieces I have made in the Gallery section on this website.
All my jewellery pieces were individual and made with no particular person in mind - I just 'go with the flow'
and see where it takes me.
In July 2009, I launched Girls Jewellery Making Parties, for years I wanted to start this up, but never quite had
the time! Since then I have never looked back, I think I enjoy taking the parties as much as the children enjoy
making the jewellery, it is so nice when you can share your passion!
